Beginning-Intermediate Drawing and Painting
Sundays 10:00-11:15 a.m. $35.00 per class (We sometimes switch to Saturdays 9:30-10:45)
One Time material fee $50.00 (covers all materials)
Gain confidence in your drawing and painting abilities by developing new skills and techniques
with a professional artist in a comfortable studio. Students will expand their knowledge of various techniques and will learn how to employ the art elements and principles: line, value, texture, shading, light, color etc… to express, explore and develop their skills.
At the beginning of each lesson, students will be introduced to a new artist (throughout history) and will then work on a drawing or painting by practicing the style, skills, techniques and/or mediums employed by that artist. With this method, students will grasp the technique through the process, learn some art history and comprehend why or what makes an artwork strong.
Individual guidance will be provided as each student is encouraged to work at their own pace and skill level. This is a non competitive class, the goal is to have fun while you learn! This class is ongoing (students can begin and end whenever).
Attendance and Payment:
Payment is due by the 1st of every month, based on a monthly cycle, (4-5 week) period.Please provide at least a 24 hour notice through email or text prior to class if you will be absent. If I am not contacted within that time frame, you will be charged regardless. If given 24 hours notice prior to an absence, we can reschedule or you can deduct that amount from the following month fee. Payment options include chase quickpay/zelle, venmo, check (made to Sandra Dawson), or cash.

This is an ongoing class. Students can register anytime throughout the year and come once or for years!
This engaging, fun and educational class is open to adults of all skill levels. This is a no stress class which focuses on individual interests, i.e. drawing, painting, encaustic, collage, printmaking etc. Techniques are taught throughout the process by a professional artist and teacher of 30 years. For the most part students work individually although at times the group works jointly learning a certain medium or technique.
Along with guidance and suggestions you will learn how to work independantly and become more confident about your skills. I guarantee you will bring home work you are proud of! This class is ongoing, students can register anytime and for as long as they wish.
